To enhance Butterfly Lodge Museum’s ability to continue offering high quality cultural arts, humanities and environmental education, an events Pavilion was designed by Sakellar Associates Architects and Planners Incorporated and constructed by Cheyenne Log Homes, has been added to the Museum campus. Appropriately named the “Applewhite Pavilion,” this spectacular structure with its soaring roof system of exposed log trusses using members harvested from our own Arizona forest, will provide a permanent outdoor covered facility for programs and large events.

The objective of the Pavilion Project is to build long-term self-sufficiency and sustainability, for any ongoing costs and maintenance of the Museum campus. This will be acheived through yearly revenues generated from the Museum admission fees, Pavilion events, Gift Shop sales, ongoing donations and in-kind contributions from Museum volunteers, friends, visitors, and supporters.
